these are some riddles for you...

The earth is black and white to me

Other colors I can not see

Some call me man's best friend

Give me a bone, a lick I'll lend.

What am I? 

-A Dog-

We are in beauty,

But not in handsome

We are in you,

But not in she

One of us is in pretty,

But both of us are in ugly

Please tell who are we? 

-Letter Y and U. 

Touched by fire, I am bright.

Constant use changes my height.

Alive at night, out all day,

Use me too much and I will disappear away. 

-Candle-

Paint me up and I am pretty, 

File me down and I am healthy, 

But cut too much and pain I bring. 

What is this mysterious thing? 

-Finger Nail -

I give knowledge, but don't receive it.

My brothers and I have lived many centuries, and in many places,

each with our own unique faces.

To my tall friends that made me,

I am but a mere baby.

If it weren't for me that you seek

You may not know how to speak.

What am I?

-(Tall Friends=Trees)-

Dead on the field lie ten soldiers in white,

Felled by three eyes, black as night.

What happened?

-A bowling ball knocked down ten pin.-

Tongue Twister

Let's challenge ourselves with these two tongue twisters.

OK TIME TO TWIST YOUR TONGUE!

I wish to wish the wish you wish to wish,

but if you wish the wish the witch wishes,

I won't wish the wish you wish to wish.

So?

Now let's try this one...

How much wood would a woodchuck chuck

if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

He would chuck, he would, as much as he could,

and chuck as much wood as a woodchuck would

if a woodchuck could chuck wood.

You can search for plenty of tongue twisters online.

This exercise will help you to speak clear and fluent.

But please remember!

don't just whisper,

just say them out loud,

let the words out,

right from your own mouth.

Enrich Your Language (SONG)

Hi everyone ..
Fellow teachers and students..
I am very excited to share with you some fun ways to learn English.

Lets Start with the first activity...

Songs

Learning language by songs can be fun and effective at the same time.

Please, don't be shy! Never!

You can simply sing along any songs that you want.

Follow these steps;

1.       Choose appropriate and interesting songs.

2.       Study the lyrics and listen to the correct pronunciation.

3.       Try to sing along.

4.       Repeat the songs multiple times.

5.       Let's KARAOKE..

I myself love learning through songs. I use them in my class. 

How? 

Make sure to print out and make sure everyone get the worksheet.

Then, follow these next steps;

1.       Ask the students to find grammar items in the lyrics. Please don’t rush all at once. For example, the song has many verbs in it, and then you ask the students to circle all the verbs that they can find in the lyric.

2.       Study the lyric and listen to the song 1 time.

3.       Teacher selects some rare words and asks the students to pronounce the selected word.

4.       Students need to listen to the song one more time. This time make sure they are paying attention to the lyrics and pronunciation of words. Urge them to utter each word and try to sing along.

5.       Now, try to point out the chorus/a phrase/a paragraph and ask them to read/sing aloud.

6.       The students need to sing the song again for enrichment purpose.

7.       If you are intended to teach them a little bit about tenses, you can try to show the students the 5 forms of the verb. For example; eat, eats, eating, ate, eaten.
